Terzo Dalia - A passionate builder of 1:3rd scale scratchbuilt Ferrari engines Terzo Dalia have a number of 1:3rd scale engine variations available covering the 250 SWB, the 250 GTO and the 312 T. Each is beautifully built and a limited edition. Each is certificated and you will not see these produced by anyone else. contact osr@worldcollector.co.uk The work involved allows for a faithfully produced 1/3 scale model of the Ferrari engine to be produced. Made using the same techniques and materials as used at that time by Ferrari; the engines are hand-formed by the sand casting of aluminium galsi-9, and other parts are turned stainless-steel. More than 500 elements are professionally assembled by 470 screws, without using any adhesives. Everything is made with meticulous precision in order to get the best results, to include the interior sections of the engine such as the pistons, connecting rods and the crankshaft, transmitting the rotation to the transmission shaft. All the mechanisms are synchronized, by very precise gears, with the 3 outside pulleys : timing, air fan and dynamo, all connected by one belt and made to measure, exactly as the original one was. Each engine is limited to a maximum of 99 pieces and each one comes with a signed and numbered certificate. Many clients enjoy the large scale factor of these models. Big enough to make an impression in the home or office, without all the oil and mess; this is a good hands on model that almost encourages the viewer to touch…….when he shouldn’t. By sheer chance Dalia finished their first engine during the 50th anniversary of Ferrari, and managed to enroll themselves in the 50th Anniversary of Ferrari - model competition as organized by Ferrari in June 1997. Dalia was nominated - "Il mito nel modellismo", winning the first prize for their Ferrari 250 GT-Competition engine.
